Here is a composite video of the same clip being played by an iPod touch 1G 3.0, an iPod touch 2G 3.0 and QuickTime Player 7.6 as recorded in three separate sessions by Screenflow. The three examples may not start on exactly the same frame but it’s close. My observation is that the faster CPU in the 2G iPod touch doesn’t make much difference.

Your observations may find some difference (e.g. stepping through frame by frame) but I’d expect any differences to be small or due to my inability to get them all starting on exactly the same frame.

    Here’s the URL:

Thanks a lot dude. This app is awesome. Too bad Apple does not offer similar functionality because it makes screencast demos so convincing. Now the last thing I miss is an equivalent for Mouseposé on the iPhone: I’m using the A/V cable instead of DemoGod over Wifi so that the video is smoother, but I didn’t find a way to show visual feedback for my fingers touching the screen. Do you know if it exists somewhere?

By the way, for making easy screencasts demos, check out http://screenjelly.com my day job company. We just launched this week. Might be useful. See the demo I did using DemoGod and Screenjelly: http://www.screenjelly.com/watch/RYIu-QFPrNQ

    1.
Any chance to use ScreenSplirt + DemoGod over usb?
because this “vnc” over wifi isnt part of speed family
    2.
Or any chance to use parts of TVout for speeder screening at TV?

iPhone 3G 3.0 + unlocked + jailbroken + ScreenSplitr 1.1.0-17 = 10 secs video then blocked by Apple… Any solutions? Thanks in advance! Btw, BigBoss TVout also installed…

I installed ScreenSplitr on my 3GS today and was only able to get audio out of it using my Slingplayer for iPhone. Has anyone successfully got this to work with the Slingplayer application?

    Thanks,

    Steve

I have a JB 3G with 3.1.2, does not work at all. Trying to get this to work so when we go away for thanksgiving, all i have to bring is my iphone, the apple component AV cable for iPhone and my ripped Dora DVD’s to satisfy my kids at my parents house. Any help would be really, really appreciated.

FYI, i installed DemoGod on my Mac and with ScreenSplitr works great. Will definitely be donating once I get the TVOut functionality to work. Thanks again.

You don’t need ScreenSplitr for that. Standard AV cable plays movies on TV (as well as photos). ScreenSplitr is for all apps.
