    hey guys,

realy cool piece of work. i tried it out. in my case it works better then the app “TVout” that was released on the last weekend.

but i must say in my case, and on my TV the picture is now cool centered on TV (not like with this TVout app), but the lower part of the screen is cutted of on the tv. means: i can’t see the dock and the icons. also when i open up for example the notes app, it disappears of the iphone springboard and it is just shown on the tv screen. so i can’t see what i’m typing. here is even the lower part cutted of. and not all app’s are supported yet, as i see…

i don’t if it’s just in my case so, but maybe this get’s fixed next time. would be very cool.

    awesome work man.

    thanks!

    looking forward for more.

by the way: i got a iphone 2G, my TV is a new one MIRAI LCD, and i’m located in europe. maybe the cutted of screen has something to do with this NTSC & PAL signal differences between the states & europe. don’t know??? i try to change the tv out settings in the settings app, maybe this helps…

here my feedback on the cutted of screen:

like i thought before, the cutted of lower part on the tv screen depends on the NTSC & (the ipod settings). if you change it here to NTSC, then there is nothing anymore cutted off on the TV screen. everything appears as it should!!!

but maybe you can fix this anyhow also for the PAL settings. because here in europe PAL is standard, and if i watch a movie over my iphone on tv in NTSC the picture and quality is ugly.

    thanks again.

    cheers

I have a first gen ipod touch with 2.2 firmware. Can I use any third party tv out cable, or do i have to buy the one from apple?

So you’re saying, you have a PAL TV and you have to force NTSC on the ipod for it to work?

Any idea about the AV cable? Can I use a non-apple one with a iPod running 2.2 firmware?

I do not know if non-apple cables will work. I only have one bought at the Apple store. You’ll have to try out and let me know ;-)

Fred Mac: If you can play a movie on your iPhone, then you just need a TV cable and it will play on your TV. You don’t need ScreenSplitr for that.

I am extremely excited with this app. The potential is there, as I also have a in dash receiver in my truck, I am looking forward to using my iPhone as a live TV using sling box which should be making an appearance any day now. I also will be using this app on the boat. As long as i have access to the 3g At&t network, using the program and sling box will allow me to have TV anywhere! i will keep everyone updated. One quick question, i researched the apple store for the cable, i need a RCA cable, not component. My deck in the car and boat have RCA Red White Yellow inputs, not HD component ones. Anyone know where i can get this cable?

This isn’t working for me. I can get it working for about 60 seconds or so and then the TV goes black and the ipod stops outputting video. Any ideas?

Love the app, however when I try loading some apps there seems to be a slight lag. Anyone else noticing this?

I’m building an app, and want to use Screensplitr as a tool for demonstrations. However, Screensplitr seems to stop after a few seconds of play.
Is there anything programmatically that I can do to be Screensplitr compatible? :p
