ScreenSplitr for 3.0

I see a lot of comments and requests to make ScreenSplitr work on 3.0. I am working on it however Apple has changed some things which prevent ScreenSplitr from staying loaded in the background. This is why it goes away after a few seconds. The OS kills it automatically. If anybody has any ideas on how this can be circumvented, please let me know.

Update:Thanks to Aral Balkan today I finally made some progress. Can’t explain why due to NDA reasons but the app is running again now on 3.0 without crashing. The last piece that doesn’t work yet is getting the popup to ask for authorization. I have also a little surprise coming up for DemoGod users.

Does this mean that it will be available soon? I don’t mean to sound impatient or unappreciative, but I have an iPhone developer meeting on Thursday, and it would be great to use this to demo some of my apps. Great Work! Guy doesn’t know what he is chatting about!

Hi I don’t want to jailbreak my iPhone 3gs so that I can keep the warranty. Is there a way to put screensplitr on without jailbreaking? would this technique work:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JEI_Geb_zc

Also in order to try that technique how can I download screensplitr without cydia?

    Thanks in advance!!

I see a lot of reports about problems with 3.1.2. I haven’t upgraded myself yet to confirm. Source code is available so anybody can take a look now.

I confirm that ScreenSplitr is still in cydia. You need to install the BigBoss repository to access it (or remove and resintall it if not found).

    Hi!

Thanks for making this program! I love it but i have 2 questions:

    1. On the tv or monitor it doesn’t show about half an inch of screen on THE bottom. in springboard i cant see the lower buttons (telephone, mail, safari, iPod), any solutions for this?

    2. I can’t get it to work with 3.1.2, is there any progress for support?

Cheers! Keep up the good work!

To those that may still be having issues getting to this via Safari. Instead of using iphone.local.:8099*/ use the IP address that your phone has in place of iphone.local.

Worked for me just fine. Choppy as all hell, but it works.
