Thanks Sylvain, the problem I reported above has been fully resolved in the latest build of ScreenSplitr. Cydia should let you know that there is an update. I'm back in the screencasting biz again.

I believe I may have a fix for it. I have to submit the update to cydia. Their submission process has changed, it will take a few days.

I should add that I have another iPod touch with the 3.0 firmware and that works flawlessly. The problem is that I'm having to create screencasts that document features that are new in 3.1.1.

It seems that iPhoneOD 3.1.1 has subtly "broken" screensplitr and, by extension, DemoGod as well. I'm doing my testing under MacOS X 10.6.1 and iPhoneOS 3.1.1 on a 1G iPod touch (no jailbreak for the 2G or 3G iPod touch yet).

I say "subtly" because everything works as expected for a minute or two and then ScreenSplitr gets disconnected. Testing with DemoGod, I get a few screens of activity and then it returns to the Welcome screen w/o locating the iPod. The ScreenSplitr On badge is present. If I tap ScreenSplitr and restart DemoGod, I get a few more seconds.

Using Safari/Bonjour, I obtain the exact same result.

I don't have an iPhone to test but would not be surprised to hear that this problem exists there too under 3.1.
